About
There’s a place where music feels like home.
Where a single note can stir a memory, a lyric can lift a weight from your shoulders, and a shared song can make strangers feel like old friends.
That place is Hiraeth Haven — born from a longing to create a safe, welcoming space where creativity, connection, and healing flow together like harmony.
I’m Angharad Sanders — a singer, HCPC-registered music therapist, and creative leader — but at my core, I’m simply someone who believes in the extraordinary power of music to connect us, comfort us, and help us discover who we truly are.

Hiraeth Haven is my heart song. For years, I dreamt of creating a space where music could be more than an art form — a place where it could hold people, heal people, and help them feel truly heard. After a rich and rewarding career as a performer, teacher, and musical director, I felt called to bring that dream to life.
The meaning of “Hiraeth Haven”

Hiraeth is a Welsh word close to my heart — one that has no exact English translation. It speaks of a deep longing for a place or time that feels like home. Here, I wanted to create that feeling for others — a place of belonging, safety, and emotional connection.
The word “Haven” brings the vision full circle. This is a home for music, for creativity, and for people. And yes, it’s also a nod to our own beautiful corner of the world here in Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire.
A little about me
I’ve spent over two decades working as a singer, musician, and musical director, and I’m now an HCPC-registered music therapist. My greatest joy is helping others find their voice — whether that’s through performance, personal expression, or simply being heard.
